There's no fixed rule about this. Any narrower-than-normal Euro 44 can easily be 4" wide, and even some normal-width 44s with closely-trimmed soles could be this width when measured across the sole. In addition, keep in mind that the Vass U-last is the narrowest of the Vass lasts.

Roger, im also measuring the upper . not the sole which is about quarter inch extended.

This eBay seller has 6 pairs of high-quality Weston shoes (also a pair of non-Tramezza Ferragamos)--all NIB or NWOB--and a Weston belt. And they're not the iconic Westons, either, that you girly men hate, but, instead, the pussyfooters that you guys can tiptoe through the tulips in.

Nordstrom sells them for between $400-550 I believe. I'm not sure if they're all created equal though.

1930's captoe shoes that appear to be unworn in an 11 1/2 on a vintage clothing website

obviously not a bargain, but kind of nostagic for those who love that period

Have these been posted here? If so, sorry for the redundancy, but, damn, $26 at this point--although this can change in a hurry. Nice perf-captoe bluchers. Seller says 8.5 E US, but they will, I think, be closer to 9 and close to a US D-width. Check with seller re precise measurements.

These look very nice--medium/high quality Italian shoes (by the makers of Canali and others)--and the price, at least at the moment, is super. Seller is completely truthful about use; from the soles, they couldn't have been worn more than once or twice (at the most). I'm not certain about the size, as seller's answer to a question (outsole length of 11.5") suggests that they could be a fairly small 9.5. Can't be absolutely certain, but would guess Blake construction. Lovely shoes that could end up a real bargain.

Let's see how long these Lobbs last at this price.

And check out the sellers other items.
