It's the shape of the last that makes these work for me. I'm not crazy about the saddle, though.

Saw this shoe earlier today and since i knew i wouldnt have time too read up too much about it and would miss the end of the auction...snip.
Looks like i bought it...I would appreciate your opinion as if it doesnt fit it will go in the B and S here. Size looks to be UK 11D

Show off your allegiance to Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, or the battle against multiple sclerosis with these nifty English-made Sulka slippers!

I actually had a snipe in for these shoes but canceled it over concern on fit (not sure if its uk or us 11) and I prefer a darker color. I had my snipe set for $210, so I'm glad we didn't cost each other money. I think its a good buy at $187...

I am glad we saved each other money. I dont know if EG does single size marking for US size only, and this is a EG labelled shoe. The color of the shoe will change once it gets in my hands.... (if it fits!).

Regards.

How will you change the color of the shoe?

Adventures in Antiquing!! I would likely NOT have picked up the shoe also based on its primary color if I didnt see a potential for change.....
Its therapeutic.

You probably were right on the UK size suggestion. I picked up a pair of black 202 brogues that were 11UK/11.5US( Marked AM on the sidewall) and they fit like a comfy US11D/snug E.

I think that J/O outbid me on the original auction, but I could be mistaken.
