Probably shouldn't thank me until we see what they look like. I'm just hoping they're not extremely plasticky smooth leather.

You mean an onslaught of forum members willing to pass on this fantastic bargain at their cost + shipping, right?

No I mean a "I hate these things and I just want to get rid of them at any cost" type of onslaught

well, they all looked pebble grained to me, unless there were a few smooth ones that sold quick. if so, the corrected grain thing should be less of a problem. the florsheim pebble grained CG's look a lot better than the smooth CG's....

Ya I know....I'm trying to get a little collusion going here...a little B&S forum price fixing.

In many auctions they refer to them as "not as grainy as pictured". I would probably prefer pebble grain to corrected grain, but even vintage NIB corrected grain longwings should move quickly on Ebay so whatever....

I just bought the 11.5. Aren't these made by edward green for Keith Highlander? With this rumor in hand, I think we should set the flip price at $100.

I can honestly say that I can't prove otherwise.

I'm really hoping mine are pebble grain, as I think that's a pretty ideal form for a longwing. And I hope you're right about reselling on eBay -- I'm thinking that better pictures and descriptions would go a long way.

New Polo RL brown suede chelseas 11.5 with No Reserve: http://cgi.ebay.com/POLO-RALPH-LAURE...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't usually like exotic skins but these Zegna gator specs (made by SF I believe) are pretty cool: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-ERMENEGILDO-...QQcmdZViewItem

So are these Lobb crocs: http://cgi.ebay.com/John-Lobb-Bespok...QQcmdZViewItem

These Berluti OTOH made me want to throw up: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Gorgeous-Ber...QQcmdZViewItem

The Lobb Bespoke Crocodile shoes have as nice a pair of matching skins as I have ever seen on an exotic!

Of course for a $3,000 start price they should, but they are particularly nice.

The seller posts here on SF. Perhaps he would provide free shipping to any winner from SF.

That's the same seller who sometimes offers Valextra items... never bought anything from him/her but he/she certainly gets some nice stuff on his/her travels as a flight attendant (Valextra, Etro pillows, etc.)!
