It's worked wonders in this case...

Not that I want to encourage anyone in this wild goose chase, but if sizing is a concern, shipping on a second pair is just $2, according to the auction I'm looking at.

It's too late for me anyway, but--just what I need! Two pairs of mystery shoes that I've never seen and can't return!

Besides, at that point we'd have tipped over into 3-digit territory.

This is all your fault anyway, isn't it? Did you at least grab a pair yourself, or are you merely playing pied piper here?

Hmm, only EEE and B in my size. Oh well.

I did. So if these go down in flames, I'll be right there with you. But heck, if they fit, it would be hard to complain. I don't see longwings being sold anywhere else for $35 these days.

Are you talking about Doc's Highlanders, Ed?

Help Ed out

I am, but I bought the EEEs, which you said you didn't want anyway. There were 12Ds up there though, I thought, unless the SF gold rush cleared them out already.

EDIT: Never mind. They're gone, unless I imagined them.

Don't append my name to 'em! I just pointed out they were there. Anyone who clicks the "Buy It Now" does so of his own volition.

Of course, they are Keith Highlanders

I have a pair of KH saddles I bought NOS on ebay. They're decent, but I think these look to be of better quality than the ones I picked up. A few months ago a pair of gorgeous KH shell longwings sold on ebay. These are likely equivalent to Florsheim, which means pretty good. If they only had something in a narrow in my size I wouldn't be able to resist. I was still tempted by the 9Ds, but I do have a pair of thrifted black grain Florsheim longwings I wear on those rare occasions I feel the urge. Burgundy/cordovan would be harder to resist.
