EG-made Purple Label shoes have gotten so rare compared to the Italian-made ones, that I had become concerned that RL was phasing out EG. While that may be true, I saw the catalogue of RLPL shoes for Fall 2007 and it included the usual EG suspects: Carter, Mackay, Grant, Parson, Barksdale, as well as a chukka boot (have I forgotten any?).

Thanks, Thinman. Nice to have a definitive answer.

No problem. I'm comforted to know that the stores, at least, will have EG shoes. I also noted some interesting colors that I'm not sure were available before (e.g. the Grants in chestnut museum calf).

Ooh! Someone page aportnoy, that looks like his size (which appears to fluctuate between 8 and 10), and I bet he doesn't have a pair of wingtip kiltie penny loafers in his collection!

My foot size changes with my moods. Think of me as "Deep Arch".

And to set the record straight, I have this shoe is chocolate suede from Paul Stuart's EG days.

"It is every foot... and no foot. Everywhere... nowhere. Call it... Darkman."

EDIT: I guess that would make it more of a "Deep Chin" than a "Deep Arch".
