Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 423

I'm heading to london in a couple of weeks on business. Given the strength of the pound vs. the dollar, I'm thinking there's not going to be too much shopping but I'm having ebay packages sent to our office.

what do you guys think of these? The price seems to be right but I'm on the edge in terms of style....

and these look nice:

but are a little more expensive...

Personally, I don't care for the elastic on the Chelseas at all.

Anyone know enough about Florsheims to hazard a guess as to how old these Royal Imperials might be.

I have a dead stock pair of those, in sz 11. Are they on ebay or are they from the thrift?

I am not an expert on Florsheim history but I thought they look way too old to be made in the 70s, or afterwards. My Price-is-Right answer would be 1965? I have no idea though.

These were thrifted (could very well be going to eBay). When I saw them I knew I had seen another pair like them. Now that I see your picture here I remember where. No matter how old they are, they're proof that Florsheim used to make a pretty good shoe.

The Fronts look 70s but then I bought shoes in the late 90/early00s like those.

The AE is incredible. But the last listing isn't very old, it has the foam cushioned insole. I would guess 90s at oldest.

On the first pair...I would be suprised if anyone here could tell me that rubber heels of the construction shown were common (or existed at all) in the 20's or 30's.

Check out the C&J crazy shoes.
I am not sure if I am mortified or fascinated.....I wanted everything but the lacing system.
What is this called?
