Not certain of maker. Two years ago, it would have almost-certainly been C&J, and these may be by C&J, but nail pattern in heel suggests that they could be by Alfred Sargent. In any case, nice shoes with closed-channeled soles.

Do you guys agree with the seller's statement that these run big and the 8.5D will fit a US 9D? FWIW I'm a 9D in AE Fairfax.

I have a Santoni FAM marked 8D from a similar line and they are a slight bit tighter than the Grenson monks (US 9) you sold to me. So YMMV, but I'd say that Santoni FAM marked 8.5D would be a roomy US9 or a snug 9.5.
