I must say that I find it pretty hard to conclude that these shoes "look like crap" from the one photo I've seen of them in the listing, but what does seem inconsistent--at least with my recollection of the Tramezza line--is that the Darting model is a Norwegian-toe double-monkshoe, isn't it? Is there another model in the Tramezza line that looks like these, or is the Darting also made in this style?

How about some used Tramezza's that are almost certainly real...Size 10.5EE with an $80 BIN:

Look at the leather, the buckles and also what you can see of the inside and compare it a regular Tramezza. The difference is vast, and enough for me to stand by my statement as not being hyperbole but an accurate comparison.

You're absolutely correct. I could have added that, but felt it was clear enough before even getting to that point.

(if there's a tramezza in the style of the shoe pictured, I can't recall it but I'm only familiar with the more recent styles.)

I'm no expert on Tramezzas, but these look like the Daniely model. No bidders with 1 1/2 days to go in a 7-day auction. Price currently $30--largely because of the nicks on the toe caps. I believe the seller is being completely honest in opining that these nicks could be mitigated by a cobbler. He notes that they could be made "much less noticeable," but I think that this is actually an understatement; I think that they could, for all intents and purposes, be eliminated, with respect to being noticeable at all. I've had much deeper gashes made to completely disappear by a good cobbler, and the cost was not that high. These could be a bargain.

No, but they make a good looking wholecut! The toe shape goes a long way toward combating the blobbiness that makes me dislike many specimens of the form.
