Not that they appear to be calfskin, however.

I think I'd just keep that to myself.

I think it appeals to people who want to think they are getting something high class for cheap.

It may be me, but I see nothing wrong with the estate sale mention. The odds are that that the former owner did not die while wearing the shoes. Once one is willing to purchase used shoes, the notion that the prior owner is no longer alive is sort of irrelevant.

Sounds like the set-up for a great Scooby-Doo episode.

I am the father of a 19 year old who still watches Scooby-Doo. It is amazing to me that each show has EXACTLY the same plot imposed in slightly different locales. I suppose the scooby gang could be chased by the ghost of a dead guy seeking the return of his Lobbs. Would confuse the kiddies.

Wouldn't it be more along the following lines?

The shoes are purchased at an estate sale. Scooby and the meddling kids get involved in helping the purchaser, who appears to be pursued by the ghost of the dead guy seeking the return of his Lobbs. In fact, it would all be a contrivance by a greedy relative of the deceased hoping to reclaim the um, -- shall we say, very pricey -- Lobbs

Somebody clearly paid way too much attention - I cede to your greater knowledge.

Someone is selling 23 pair of exotic skin shoes in an estate sale from a "Prominate Family"!

I hope they are not your collection.

Here's a sample:

Beautiful, aren't they?

And here's the complete inventory:

Inventory of exotic skin shoes from estate sale of a "Prominate Family".

As we all know, one can never have too many David Edens!

Perhaps KB has passed on.
