santoni fam sizing is in US but is runs half large. or whole size large according to Ed.
these bairds i have handled before and they , for me , run half size large so i have to go down half size. they actually run about 8.5 D these specific ones. a US 9D according to Ed.
the difference is substantial between these and the 'fritz' model (actually , i am sure you are talking about the 6928 model, not the fritz, as fritz is a 'fam' goodyear modeled after the 6928 tan serrated fam).
the baird comes in a different last shape
, has goodyear
as oppsed to the 6928 norvogese
, or 'reverse welt'
according to a harris. also the 6928 comes in a hand-antiqued leather.
also , the 6928 model shoe does not have a seam
between vamp and quarters like the baird.
see the differences :
baird 'fam' goodyear model:
6928 ,popularly misnamed as 'fritz'
the baird is a very nice shoe , very substantial and a great shoe to have at the 500 price range .i would not pay full retail which runs 850 +-.
the baird is in the same 'fam' goodyear family as the bishop:
both non serrated fam insoles. 'fam' goodyear models. there are the regular classic goodyears and the richer goodyears with these insoles.
