I have seen the same stitch on the toe in calf, and this is much more substantial here indicating (at least to me) that these are shell. Also, we can just barely see the comb. heel sticking out of the overturned shoe.

They are most likely Grenson's. I have 2 pair of Ede and Ravenscroft ( a burgundy city boot and a black semi-brogue, both are Grenson Masterpiece's)

Any advice on size comparisons for Ferragamo?

I am a UK 9.5, usually 10.5 is AE and Alden, have worn 10 in Martegani and Borgioli, 9.5 in Santoni FAM.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

This seller put up many pairs of Vass today, including some nice looking boots. They're still out of my price reach though

Those listings all say 8.5E -- is E the "medium" width on Tramezza, or are those all wide shoes?
