I think these are sized right. They say 8.5/9F (wide), so should be close to a wide 9 US. I think that the Yardley is the forerunner of the Ashby--it has a seam between the quarters and vamp not present on the latter. Not exactly a fabulous deal, but well below retail, particularly when you realize that the hand-stitched apron adds something like $75 to the retail price. Not sure of the last--I'm guessing 606.

I love the simplicity of this Lobb model

Nice price which is unusual for that seller. I'm tempted to get them for when I leave the farm.

You can get them for less than that with the best offer. She went down to $400 from $700 when I offered her $250 on another pair of FAMs.

Yea, wasn't she the one doing $350 FAMs in popular browns at first? Then I think she was flooded with SF offers of $350 (I know I did) and the prices went up.

I just got those for $250 -- I should've offered less. Thanks for the post, Leaveitothexperts!

Glued FAM; had no idea there was such a thing. Thanks for the warning (unfortunately).

I got a pair of FAM brown captoes from this guy and while not welted, they are not glued either. They are blake stitched.

What do we think of the price/quality ratio? I really like the styling of these.

I'm OK with that on a $250 pair of blacks that won't leave the closet but once a month if they're lucky. Another online site has this model listed retail $890 and for sale at $425 so yea they're certainly not the primo FAMs.

I have a pair of FAMs from Yoox, also blake stitched, not even Blake-rapid. Which makes me question Santoni retail prices. I feel that at 250.00 they are about right if the style suits you.

They are not Edward Green, but it is still a good price.

Sorry for the brutal redaction, but a_certain_person's auctions are not to be posted or discussed here. Thanks.
