Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 339

Excellent price for new. If interested, double-check size with seller. They should have the double designation of all EGs, such as 81/2 /9 (if 9 US).

True size is probably US 8.5/9

These look like a good deal to me. Someone should jump on them--very stylish. Anything less than (offers are invited) or equal to the BIN of $250 seems like a helluva catch. Be sure to e-mail seller to double-check on size, and also to determine exact color. They look like a tan suede, but could be darker--appearing lighter because of camera flash. Thinman, these must be close to your size...right?

Thanks for posting, Roger. They are my size, but I snoozed and loozed. Had to run over to my brother's house for a few minutes and when I got back, they were gone to a BIN.

I'm gonna post these so someone will bid them up, and I won't be tempted. Beautiful looking shell cord AEs, 12E: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5101&rd=1&rd=1 I wish they had been listed a month ago. The BIN was reasonable, too (I think around 249). The "imperfection" isn't described, however. What does the AE store usually mean by an "imperfection?" I'm thinking a small blemish in the coloring.

I think these are shell cordovan but misidentified as calf (but I could be wrong... just going by stamp on sole) - size 10.5 EE - only $150 buy it now! (if you can live with the color...) Maybe you could dye them for interesting effect... http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Allen-Edmond...QQcmdZViewItem

^Don't assume they are because of the sole. I thought the same thing on this pair of (not attractive) spectators they are offering. I asked them if they were actually shell, and they said despite the sole they are not shell but calf. Perhaps they were some leftover uppers they paired with leftover soles.

Yeah, you're right -- I noticed other 10.5 EE on the AE Clearance ebay site that were suede but had the shell cordovan sole.... strange... probably leftover soles like you said...
Odd that they're all 10.5 EE. That's not a particularly common size, I wouldn't think.

some of the others are nice, though. especially the dark brown grain macneil and the olive suede macneils.

At the risk of looking a fool, how do you know they are women's shoes, and not just very small?

Actually, I don't. But I once won a pair of Gravati's in the same size and only later noticed that they were listed under Women's Shoes. And guess what? They were.

But maybe I'll email the seller for measurements...

There are five one-of-a-kind in that size, all marked "RARE -- Special Make Up" - so perhaps they were a special order for someone who... changed his mind?
