These are marked 9 UK (width E), a length that fits me well with most English shoes. However, the one pair of Lobbs I have on the 7000 last are fully large enough in an 8.5UK. Since I'm pretty close to a true 9.5 US, I'd suggest that these would be too long for others in this size. You'll need to be all of a 10 US (and maybe a tad larger) for these to fit well.

That said, beautiful shoes and, although expensive, not a bad deal close to the opening price.

Not a fan of the stitching on that model.

Almost certainly not EG (as seller maintains), but instead Grenson Masterpieces. Still nice shoes, although the 4-eyelet lacing strikes me as slightly off for shoes like this. The example the seller gives in current Paul Stuart stock as similar (and selling for $678) is really a different shoe--a 5-eyelet wholecut. Seller is right, I think, in stating that the 9D sizing is in the US system.

$290 + $17.50 shipping for used Grensons -- that's a laugh. Wonder if the seller knows that new Stuart's Choice shoes top out at less than $200. If so, I imagine he's really counting on the "Edward Green" in the title.

I've bought from the seller; he is reasonable and responsive though probably not knowledgeable enough about Grenson's to price them correctly.

I think they might be EG's as the seller suggested. The "Made in England" lettering on the sole is very suggestive no?

I don't think so. I have apair of SC/GM with that stamp on the soles too. I'm told EG stopped manufacturing for SC at least 10, perhaps 15, years ago, and the styling of that shoe appears more Grenson-esque, IMO.

If they are greens, what is one to make of the writing in the oval cut out: 8077 45 ?

Kill two birds with one stone. Support an "Artisan" and be remembered as the man.

Handpainted Superman sneakers

Yes, I think Grenson. I believe that EG for PS stated 'Edward Green' on the insole. The sole script looks like Grenson.

I like how he describes the soles as "pristine mint condition - worn once"

Too bad they look like they were worn over a gravel pit.
