I believe this should be finally addressed: The name of this thread is "Cool shoes..." thus no mentioning of AE shoes should be made here.

I started this thread, and AEs are allowed here. No Bruno Maglis please.

I never post AEs but you have to admit those are pretty cool for AEs. iammatt had a bespoke pair made based on this very design and I believe josepidal too owns a pair.

from uk ebay:

11F Grenson's...

grade on the Grenson's is "imperfect". What exactly does that mean?

Been posted before, IIRC, any opinion on these C&Js?

Really? I guess it could be hit or miss, because a few months ago I had bid on some Vintage 2005s, but was outbid as it eventually got to just north of $900. True, not a huge Ebay profit, but I'd rather make sure SF members got a chance at them.

I'm sure that happens on occasion, but the average price is more like $500-$600 from what I've seen. I certainly would not pay $700 hoping to resell them for more. But no worries, it's good you are looking out for the guys here!

These look like Masterpiece Grensons and could be a good deal

These are not Mastrepiece Grensons. They are new Rose Collection Grensons and are decent shoes aside from curved soles and up-turned toes.

I'm glad they used some of their valuable auction title real estate to mention that they are "tie" type shoes.

Actually, I have a pair of Magli "Platinums" or whatever they call that line that I think are pretty cool.
