I emailed the seller to inquire about these being Lobb. After an exchange of 2 or 3 emails, it became very clear that these are not Lobb. According to emails I received from the seller, first, there's no designation of these being "Lobb." Second, there's not even a made in England designation on the shoes. Third, there's no box, so there's no indication from that, as there often is, of where the shoes are made. Fourth, when I asked for whether there was, in fact, anything at all that points to these being Lobb as opposed to an some other maker, whether Italian/English/etc., his response was, and I quote: "Unfortunately there is no box, however they are marked goodyear which is the finest british construction."

Classic. Surprising though, as the seller sells lots of high-end items

That seller is full of it. He routinely makes stuff up in his listings.

I live for helping shoes find the proper home.

Ditto, he has no clue what he's selling. The shoes do look nice though

Went out shopping today and came across some Lobb's on sale. At least I know the Vintage 04 and 05s and Haddon were listed as 50% off (~$692). I didn't see the 06 on display, but was told they had some, but didn't catch if they were also at 50%.

US sizes were as follows:
Vintage 04: 10, 10.5, 12
Vintage 05: 9, 9.5, 10.5, 12
Vintage 06: 11
Haddon: 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12

PM me and I'll send you the contact info just to keep the possibility of lurkers from snatching them up and trying to Ebay them for profit.

did you bother to read the part where he asked people to pm him so that the lurkers can't snatch them and sell them on ebay?

I own those; they're from Filene's basement at Downtown Crossing. There were two pairs there, I tried both on and ended up getting the ones with 10 1/2 marked on the sole because they ran so huge. I wear a 12D. The 12 1/2 he lists is way too small.

And yes, they look nothing like anything Lobb would even think about.

Um, at $692 there isn't any money to be made selling them on ebay. There is money to be lost though...

Really? I guess it could be hit or miss, because a few months ago I had bid on some Vintage 2005s, but was outbid as it eventually got to just north of $900. True, not a huge Ebay profit, but I'd rather make sure SF members got a chance at them.

How much at Filenes, if I may ask?

Less than $300 IIRC... I was unimpressed with them.
