mao, am I right - were Lane Crawford selling FAM LEs for 10,000?

Agreed, and what's up with that terrible sole dressing job?

ooh, I think that pair was made by Lattanzi, you missed out big time there.

Just kidding, I don't know but they look like good shoes for the price.

I think Peluso makes Etro shoes. The good news for the Asain beauty authority amerikajinda is that a size 45 is more like an 11.5-12 than a 10-10.5

I think it's more like HKD13,000. Still a lot cheaper than what they go for in the States, as it seems.

How is the sizing on the Santoni Limited Editions. Do you need to go smaller like the FAMs?. So an 11 US would be what? 10? 10.5?.

You need tools to do that kind of work to the toe cap. Thus, the leather toe cap has been "tooled".

Is that what we'd call it or would it not be a "half brogue" or "semi brogue"? I had thought that a quarter brogue was a captoe with broguing at the back of the cap and around the throat, but without a cap medallion as these have.

I will have a 1/64th brogue made, which will have a few small perforations somewhere on the shoe, almost imperceptible to the human eye.

I like tradition as much as the next guy, but strict definitions can only take you so far.

They do, however, facilitate precise communication.
