Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 279

How does one let a pair of Lattanzi's get into that state I'd be sooo careful, but then I guess if I had lots and lots of money, I'd not care and wear them like a pair of trainers

He's selling a nice Kiton Tux too, shame the sleeves and pants are way too short.

Sorry to go a little off topic but can someone explain to me what this is about? Is it some sort of fetish thing or is it just style or maybe I don't want to know?

C&J Weymouth in the light british tan (i think c&j calls it antique tan)

http://cgi.ebay.com/CROCKETT-JONES-O...QQcmdZViewItem

I would probably call these size 10 in the US. I have the dark brown weymouth in 9.5E, and wear an AE 10.5 (1, 4, 7 and old 8 last)

Not the seller, if anybody wants to know.

yeah, brown c&j handgrades rarely come with any antiquing. That doesn't bother me, since i prefer to acquire my antiquing naturally over time....

Well, I'm not sure about that. Consider the following. The shoes undoubtedly came from Ben Silver, since he is the only seller that gets the Weymouth in tan, and, more importantly, the code 9411 given in the listing is Ben Silver's code for the tan Weymouth. Since they have undoubtedly come, therefore, from Ben Silver, the size written in the shoes--which is evidently 9D--will undoubtedly refer to the US system, not the English. For these reasons, I would imagine that these shoes are in fact US 9D. Further support for this conjecture comes from the fact that the D width is almost unheard of from C&J, the E width being far more common. This fact provides additional evidence that the sizing information is in the US system. Someone should contact the seller for clarification, but I'm betting they're 9D US.

yeah, i forgot about that. i assumed they were UK made, but if they're Ben Silver shoes, the US size might be 9D.
