Don't know whether the $500-$600 for the new FAMs is that much of a bargain, but there are some very nice shoes here!

No, there's no authentication letter.

Regular grade--9.5E UK, hence 10.5 D US. The Westminster (here) has been replaced in the C&J catalog by the Westfield. I have the Westminster in calf and wear them a lot--really great shoes. Oddly, no last is indicated on the inside of the shoes, but, since the Westfield is on the 341 last, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Westminster was also. Mine very much resemble the shape of the newer Westfields--typical English round-toe form. Unfortunately, no view of the soles, but could be a good deal up to about 75 GBP. The trees will have to go.

From my old C&J catalogue, the Westminster was made on the 332 last for UK E fittings and the 240 last for UK C fittings. I prefer the Westfield - I like the brogueing on the medallion being less "dense", if you see what I mean.

The seller says that he's not sure if these are shell cordovan, but they sure look like it:

Size 12 Louis Vuitton crocodile shoes...

(I think they're kind of ugly - anyone know who makes them for LV?)

Formal-wear Allen Edmonds Spencer size 12 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170103841029 The description is funny! "BLACK IS ALWAYS IN FASHION", "YOU CAN ALWAYS WEAR THESE WITH ANYTHING", "YOU DESERVE IT!!!", "LUXURIOUS FOR THE URBAN SOPHISTICATES", "WHATEVER YOUR STYLE IS - CASUAL, CAREER/BUSINESS" Wow. I just can't see even our Kenneth Cole square toe brothers wearing these with jeans or with a suit to a meeting... I mean, tuxedo shoes are just not as versatile as the seller would have you believe. Am I missing something?

That dent in the top boot, near the left side of the screen, makes me question if these are really shell. Might just be very corrected grain. Rather bulbous, too.
