In case you had any doubts, it's a scam. Report that user and forward the message to spoof@ebay.com. Even if he was the seller it would be against ebay's rules and terms of service and you would not be protected in case something bad happened.

The seller posted measurements of 12 1/8" length and 4 3/8" witdth, which makes them bigger that a lot of my 9.5D and 10D shoes. Maybe someone with an F last shoe in 42 can chime in.

I have a Vass in R last marked size 42 and 9 and it is not 9.5 D size. It almost perfectly fits my feet and I normally buy U.S. 10 1/2 shoes in most brands. The Lobb I have is the 2004, last 8000 and it is marked size 10E and a tad tight for me.

You'll know when this happens because eBay's servers will crawl to a halt from the sheer load.

What brands of shoes are you comparing to? The UK sz 8 Lobbs I have up for auction have similar outsole measurements.

Well there ya go - so all these shoes fit like a US 9? That would make them all, sadly, too small for me. I was hoping the Vass at least was my size.

Great shoes! Wear them well. I did bid but you clearly wanted them a lot more than I did, so you're deserving owner.

Cheers; that first step on concrete is going to be a tough one to make.

In both cases, the C&Js were patinated--after purchase--by a Parisian shoe patinater (if that's a word). The name of the first is ArtDandy, and of the second, Attelier Catelan PARIS 7. I agree with your assessment of the results.

The Jermyn II and the Vass may accommodate a US9.5 if you have narrow feet, but I can't tell for sure. The Asprey EGs are US8.5.

This could be a good deal:

Beautiful antiquing--not exactly something you'd expect to see on a large-scale, heavy-duty derby. But they are beautiful. They're used, but the Topy'd soles and the heels look perfect.

Note on size: Size is given as Euro 43, which should translate into about a US 9.5 to 10. The Hunt Derby is a big shoe and has a wide front section ahead of the waist. My guess is that these might fit more like a US D-width, but getting more information from the seller re inside dimensions would be wise for those interested.

If these were in cordovan color like Z's, I wouldn't have posted This style looks great in black nonetheless. This is an AE model usually available exclusively in Europe.
