if you look closely at the soles of these shoes you can tell that these were totally resoled. there is a line around where the channelling would be and the soles on the brendens and other classics are always closed channel woody-like soles.
the nordstrom rack refurbish job is actually a slight sand down and black colored over, but they still use the same original sole. so if they had one of these at the rack for 129 i would quickly buy it. i bought a brand new brenden with original soles for 91 dollars from nordstrom rack last year. i was very lucky as that was the only one.
these are resoled and colored over to make look like original black woody sole. it is not nordstrom it is another retailer that does this resole job, as i have seen this alot before on the santoni classics on the ebay.
