Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 217

The talk of burgundy shoes on the other forum sparked my interest in getting a pair for myself. Any thoughts on these Grensons?

I'm not sure that the price is that great. It's about half-off a new pair at pediwear, but they do seem to be in near perfect condition. Too much?

I don't care for the asymmetry. They're very conservative except for that, and it looks out of place to my eye.

It's also a lot more than I'd want to pay for used Grensons.

This shoe from Mezlan is partial ( the vamp) toad and surprisingly called "Prince". They didn't say if it was waterproof.

NIB EG for RL 10D - 299 BIN. Good deal if you want a tassel loafer.

For those in Orange County or LA, and wear a size 7.5, there is a pair of black AE Bentleys at Saks Off Fifth at the Block... it is marked at $80 on clearance, but there is a 30% off coupon you can use one one item, reducing it to about $60 after tax, which is a pretty good deal for a new pair of AEs. I would buy and flip but didn't really want to deal with it for $30-40. Just a heads up, they appear more or less brand new.

I don't. I was going off the pictures, looks to be corrected grain by the creases on the side of the shoe (can't think of the proper name for it). The picture quality, though, is poor.

You're right, the lighting is kinda weird, but I can kinda see what you're talking about. I'm not sure if that's from the reflection of the light on the shoe or if it's due to the material, though.

The anonymous bidding business really sucks when trying not to out fellow SFers.

Do yourself a favor and don't shamelessly pump your items in the cool shoe thread when these laughably don't qualify.

I moved this post into this thread because he had posted it as a separate thread in MC. I didn't know it was his own auction.
