it probably was put up on the 20 cent listing day. so if you're not ready, you would just put up a marker, and then revise it when it is ready.

with ebay now banning "no item available" listings, it seems a temporary marker would also qualify. i now just do something like list something without any description - and get the description up later. only negative is that you get 2 or 3 people begging for pictures, probably so that they can bid before you get the pictures up.

Essentially, our friend made a listing that is a placeholder to cash in on the lower listing fees. He will actually populate it with an item and information on said item at a later date.
