I know, I know, they are black and shouldn't be in a thread that starts with "cool" . . .

You might want to mention that they are black patent leather, which diminishes their usefulness by about 99%

That's funny, didn't know to notice that. I am probably putting myself in front of the firing squad here but, what is patent leather? Are all nostros made with patent leather?

Patent leather has been given a super smooth high gloss finish. I usually only see people wear them with tuxedos, at weddings, or perhaps the occasional ballroom dance. I guess you could try to start a new trend...

Ahh I see, I think I know what you mean. As Ed said, its utility is diminished by 99%, so I am not sure I want to know more. I will steer clear from anything that shines like that (or like Coles) . . .

They are fine shoes. They are however only appropriate for formal wear with a dinner jacket so that's why they are less useful than plain calf. Every man needs a pair of patent leather shoes nonetheless.

if they were size 10.5D, they wouldn't have. i've been checking for new BB shoes every couple of hours since it seems they've been getting posted.

BIN is too high, IMHO, but they're not my boots (or my size )

Isn't there a "Koch" who posts here? Are they his boots?

Anyway, I these boots. Wish I could find a pair in a 12D.
