+1.

The brown wingtips they have on the website are really cool. Nice, subtle antiquing too, IMHO.

Saks Off 5th Ave:
Stefano Bemer 3 styles in US sizes 8-9.5. Priced @ $397 plus another 20% off. The single monk strap style looked very nice.

Tod's:
lot of styles and sizes priced $125-$130 (retailed @$375 up)

Hugo Boss : I pair of size 9.5, dark tan, Baldessarini chukka boots. @$199 (maybe another 20-25% off, I'm not sure). These boots looked like $1000 boots.

Ferragamo:
Lots of Tramezza shoes @around $440. One pair of Tramezza double-monk, oxblood size 12D for $199.

Neiman's: Don't waste your time. Lots of mezlan, cole haan, k cole, etc.
Gucci: another don't waste your time.

Our very own Brian has a pair of beautiful new Vass U last up in size 44:

If they fit me I would have done the BIN immediately. Unfortunately I wear a 42.

They appear to be the Old English in Oxblood in the U last. Precisely the subject of my next order from Vass.

He also has 2 pair of Santoni Fatte A Mano's at attractive prices:

They should certainly sell at these prices.

I kinda like these--from Sutor Mantellassi top or near-top line:

Not at all elegant, but solid country shoes in a Weston Hunt Derby kind of way. Check the hand-stitching at the welt. Seller says worn once; soles suggest very little wear. Would be a good purchase if got for under $250.

Any ideas for the maker of these shoes from Ermenegildo Zegna?

I don't understand how this model can exist yet no one in the world seems to carry them other than a reseller on ebay. They aren't even on the C&J product list.

If you are a 9.5us and want to let them go cheap just let me know

Sorry, I'm a US 12D (the Readings are UK 11E).

Here's a pair of Norwegian-toe monks that--from the Norwegian-style double-stitching into the uppers at the welt--would seem to be from a top line of SM:

http://cgi.ebay.com/mens-shoes-dress...QQcmdZViewItem

The seller doesn't seem to know exactly what he's selling. He describes the soles as "man-made," when, in fact, they are channeled leather soles covered with Topy add-ons. They're at $90 now with no reserve. Slightly-used, but with very little apparent wear. Would, I think, be a great deal at under $200.

Here's a pair from the same seller as four posts back:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sutor-Mantellass...QQcmdZViewItem

Very light wear and from a top or near-top line of SM (note double Norwegian stitching into uppers at welt and channeled soles). Three days to go in a 7-day listing and no bids so far. Currently $100 with no reserve.

my guess is that these are nicely made, comfy old shoes and with the spelling, may be a bargain...

Nice. Never heard of the brand though (pardon my ignorance) what's the spelling mistake? I see: Beguelin.
