Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 190

This type of collapsible boot-tree was invented (and patented) by the Peal shoe company (I don't think that particular sample is by Peal):

They might go well with a pair of vintage John Lobb boots.
Look who's driving the price sky-high:

If you need nice loafers or a suede monkstrap, Mantellassi at yoox.com, $250 plus there is a 5% off coupon (pp@yoox ?) and free shipping. These are from the top line Mantellassi, unlike their spring/summer offerings on yoox.

Nice assortment and good prices. Sadly, no brown suede in 32-34 If anyone has a good lead on a dark brown suede dress belt (to match the Tramezza Gherardo), please let me know.

Can you see the bidders? They're hidden from me.

They were visible when the auction started, at some point later, they got hidden.

Bidder Nr 1 is our friend "a distinguished Gentleman" (the one with the vintage John Lobb boots).
Had he bidden his time and sniped only at the last minute, he would have gotten them much cheaper.

Well, I hope the trees fit the John Lobb boots. (Although I think they are too small.)

I have the moccassin in navy blue and in tan. A great shoe and truly from the handmade line. Mid 200s is a great price for these.

They run true to size. I have 42 and wear a US 9 medium. Unfortunately the browns are a 42.5.
