I agree, those patent loafers are about as non-hideous as any I've seen.

It's the high vamp (and no girly bow) with a simple grosgrain strap and trim that give it an elegant, yet not too feminine look imo. If I had any real occasion to wear these, I would be bidding.

I'm not crazy about the metal eyelets but if you're looking for black split toes, this could be a good deal at $100 w/trees.

If I wanted those (and I don't), I would do the buy it now at $169. The new ones seem to go for $200 or more (although some of those are Tramezzas). I don't see anything brand new in the completed auctions below $160 (and that looks like some sort of slip-on.

Belts qualify as paraphernalia, yes?
Anyway, virtualclotheshorse has some great-looking sutor mantellassi belts, including some in suede, in the $50-$70 range. Mostly about a size 30, but a few as large as 32 or 33.

Is that a jab at Cole Haan's leather quality? Just curious. I have read not very positive things about Cole Haan in the forums, so I was wondering.

Cole Haan has these if you picky about your leather:

Benchmade in England not sure by whom, but leather is great.
