I believe GVH has a pair of these on their site in 11D for $150 as well.

I saw some made in England ones on their site a few days ago, but they may have been purchased, I was considering pulling the trigger. They may be AS though...?

If they don't, I can be at any door step in Seattle with a wad of cash in under ten minutes (with the proper motivation, of course). Let me know if they don't fit, I was so upset when I saw this auction had ended with such a reasonable BIN. It seems like as soon as I leave the forum all the good stuff gets posted!

I'm sure the price on these will end in the stratosphere but I love the patina. Lobb/UK 10EE. They actually inspired me to look up the A Harris shoe antiquing tutorial from my pre-membership lurking days. These are beautiful.

edit: http://cgi.ebay.com/John-Lobb-Stratt...QQcmdZViewItem posting the link would probably help my point. The starting bid is $24,901 less than some other Lobb shoes I have seen on eBay lately.

Well, compared to vote4toms $25,000 Ice Skates these should be $100,000!

But the seller is starting them at $75, and has just listed them. They are Stetson Spat type shoes in really mint condition. Very, very interesting! The seller estimates they are from the 1880's to 1910. I think 1920's is more likely.

Either way they seem a steal for a serious shoe collector if they sell at a reasonable price. Of course vote4tom could buy them and try to flip them for $100,000!!!!!

Here they are (how old do you think they are?, I think 1920's is most likely):

Oh, and here's another mint 1920's vintage work boot in an original box. Claimed to be unworn:

Pretty neat. Opinions on both of these vintage beauty's please?

And for you experts what do you estimate for their ages?

The stitching on those Lobb's has too many sharp edges and too wacky for my tastes.
