Something about the Shelby looks unbalanced to me. I'd like it better without the medallion.

The style reminds me of Allen Edmonds.

Edwardian and coffee suede Mackays were carried in some stores, but have never appeared on polo.com, AFAIK.

I also find the Shelby unbalanced. I would like it much better as a full brogue, an austerity brogue, or without the stitched "wings" (just a floating medallion). As it is, I wouldn't buy it, but YMMV.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the stitching either. Thanks.

Saw another EG for PL in EEE width on GVH. polo.com never seemed to have anything wider than a D...

I know they're tassel loafers but great price nonetheless.

These are posted as "Sanoni", they are Santoni Bartons 10D, rubber-soled. End in less than a day and no one has bid yet. I was thinking about getting these for inclement weather but I'm hoping to pick up some C&J or EG shoes from GVH.

I ordered late yesterday afternoon and received a shipping notification less than 24 hours later. GVH is rock solid, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

GVH has a pair of Mackays listed in my size as "tan suede". I assume it's coffee suede, since it looks like that same shade shown on SF and, AFIAK, that's the only shade of suede Mackays offered by RL. My question for those who have seen both is: how does the EG coffee suede compare with JL's brown suede or the C&J brown suede used on the Polo Altons? I own the Altons and a pair of JL ankle boots in brown suede and I would like a lighter shade in my next suede shoes. Thanks in advance.

hossoso, you should be able to snipe these for a great price! The misspelling means very few people will find them.

Those are from the rubber-soled Nuvola line. I wouldn't pay more than $100.

Definitely a lighter shade of suede than the Altons which i have or Lobb's dark brown suede. It's really in between brown and tan, and lovely.
