They will definitely honor the orders Ed, don't sweat it. I've had nothing but positive customer service experineces with GVH. They have made mistakes, but they always have done right by them (and me).

Plus, they still have RLPL shoes listed at $340.

I'm out on this one. Really don't need any more shoes My closets and wardrobes are overflowing. I need to upgrade everything to bespoke, not add more of the same. \t

I'm sitting this out too. I recently added EG Ashbys from ebay, MTO RL Pitneys (EG Dover), C&J Readings from ebay, and RM Williams chelsea boots. In September, it was RL MacCallums in shell cordovan. The Barksdale loafers and suede Mackays appeal to me the most, but I don't really need either loafers or oxfords right now. I like the Camden, but it's rather plain. Of course, if I see one of those elasticated loafers in 11.5 and a snuff or tan suede, all bets are off.... Enjoy yourselves, guys! (BTW aportnoy, you rock!!)

Thanks, Ambulance Chaser.

I wonder if the pricing change was the result of an error, or if the frenzy of orders prompted them to increase the price. I suspect the former, considering the price on the Tellman was higher. But how would something like that happen?

Maybe they had too much stock and wanted to move some of it out?

I just picked up a pair of barksdales in antique tan at $340.00. Does anyone know why the shoe prices are all over the place? I saw Barksdales at $424 as well, and the same price discrepancy appears to exist with some of the other RLPL shoes as well? I didn't just buy a pair of seconds or used shoes, did I?

Barksdales have always been $850 at the mansion, and I've never seen them on sale. Same for Mackays.

And one last question: does anyone know what size shoe tree i would order from gravevine hill for a 10D? The medium and large shoe trees look the same to me, what's the difference?

I have had great trouble searching on GVHs website. It is slower than molasses in January.

And I have not been able to find any rlpls even with a universal size search under PRL brand.

Am I the only one having trouble? And I really don't need anymore shoes anyhow, so this could be a good thing.

Thanks Doc. I realized I had been looking through Ebay not directly on his website. I do see them and also see the higher prices.

It looks like they just put up some RLPL Grants in various sizes at $497.00.

Guys,
What's the consensus on the Barksdales? True to size, or do you need to go up a size or half-size?
Any info would be much appreciated!
