Anyone concerned with foot fungus on this forum? It seems that used shoes trade is very popular here. I am not knocking anyone, but simply asking if fungus is of concern when one acquires used shoes? Don't give it a second thought! If you're in any way concerned, just give the used shoes a thorough spray treatment with a disinfectant (like Lysol, or some product designed specifically to clean and disinfect shoes)--perhaps scrubbing the lining and insole with it using a brush. You could then rub in some isopropyl alcohol to the lining and insole, and finally restore moisture to the leather with a leather conditioner, letting it stand for an hour or so and then wiping off any excess so that your socks don't get greasy. Although I'm not an epidemiologist, it seems very unlikely that any bad guys like fungus could survive all that!
