Again, apparently you don't get the point. If it was swept under the rug, I would not be talking about it now. The point is RJ has made a similar and false gesture in the very same matter before. He lacks what I believe to be, proper etiquette. Not to discount his knowledge but he was wrong there and can't prove that he is right here.

My comments was more about the re-selling anyway and, as I said, I don't want to target you specifically regarding that. I don't follow these things enough and I don't assume you're one of the greatest offenders. I hardly buy any of the goods discussed on styleforum so it's more about the generic principle than a specific situation.

ps: you're still a rude cunt.

You have know idea what my knowledge is and you just contradicted what you said earlier. Not to mention the gratuitous use of language from the one that screwed me....shows how classy and intelligent you are (or not.)

RJ- I stand by listings and would take them to Edward Green myself if I lived in England to verify the truth. As it stands, their is no cut and dry answer to the makers of certain collaborations. If you feel that I have misrepresented an item, pm me with evidence. I am a humble person and will admit to mistakes if I make them. All I ask is to have some courtesy which will be reciprocated. I'm done with this topic.

Attempting to get things back on track... John Lobb "City" 8D US starting at $300. I'd be all over these if they were a size larger.

60k for 130 dead Chinchilla's? that doesn't seem like a very good deal.

+1.

Thanks RJMan! Always look forward to your findings.

I'll attempt to get back off track. If a SF member has reason to question an item being sold on ebay, I am happy to hear him discuss it publicly on this forum. I can evaluate the validity of his claims for myself. I don't think that the seller happening to also be a member of this forum excludes him from such questioning. I didn't think RJ was rude or out of line at all. Each of us can evaluate his comments for ourselves, and distinctive has the chance to rebut, if he wants.

Presumably, distinctive benefits greatly from publicizing his auctions on this forum, and I have no problem with that. If one wants to reap the benefits of publicity from this forum, one should also be prepared to face the occasional question. I didn't really see anything about RJ's post which could be construed as anything more than informative and certainly not rude.

Yes. I am commenting on the tone and content of your own posts, which I offer you as Exhibit 1.

You're absolutely right, I'm not taking anything for granted and once is fine but again, this is the third time he's pulled this. The first two times were proven incorrect on his part and possibly damaging to my reputation.

That being said, I will offer these up as a contribution to this thread since I apparently only take take take.

Proven incorrect?

If we are talking about the same instances,

1) some Paul Stuart shoes distinctive was selling as EG. I simply noted he didn't have a picture of the insole or the writing inside the shoe, either of which would be helpful to supporting their being made by EG. Distinctive then stated that the insole said it was made by EG for PS. I acknowledged that that would make them EG.

2) This debate over a pair of shoes distinctive was not even selling which distinctive chose to insist were EG. I simply pointed out how they might not be due to the fact that other makers besides EG also make or made RTW for Foster & Son. Not sure how I was "proven incorrect" in this case.

Look, I don't want to get all -- obviously you have plenty of satisfied customers and you haven't gone postal like certain distinguished banned members (hi out there). This is the last I'm going to say about this. I got some shoes to pee on with Fuuma.

The same shoe twice but it's water under the bridge as I thought the case with Fuuma, but he has come back with a blast of maturity. I don't really care to argue, I respect your knowledge and think I have a bit to offer as well. We will just agree to disagree, fair?

I think most of us posters are capable of drawing our own conclusions about information posted here. It's obvious to me that you are a very reputable seller who would not intentionally mislead any potential buyers. It's also obvious to me that RJ is an experienced consumer who can offer a lot of valuable insight. It is a really big leap to assume a comment like RJ's would damage your reputation. If anything, he can enhance your reputation by giving you additional information. I viewed it as nothing more than a helpful post. In fact, you probably did more damage yourself by getting into a snippy back and forth with people.

Nobody ever said you only take. You provide plenty here. It's like David Reeves' posts. In stubbornly defending every little perceived slight, he probably believes he's helping his business when, in fact, it probably does more harm.
