And since it looks like the seller never wrote the words "shell cordovan"' in the auction, that's not a ground for a return

That being said, $30 is a great price for corrected grain shoes, if you like that sort of thing.

the seller claims that he accepts returns as long as you haven't wear them, but still, not even worth it to ship a $30 shoe back.

I present, the triple v-cleat Florsheim longwings! Looks like custom job considering the never-worn uppers and the altered sole. I can only imagine how slick these are on smooth floors! 9.5 B. http://cgi.ebay.com/Florsheim-Vintag...item1e5993076d

The BB Peals by C&J are sometimes benchgrade and sometimes somewhere between benchgrade and handgrade. The monks have a channeled sole and a hidden stitch on the top of the welt. However, they do not have the German calfskin full length sockliner that all handgrades have.

9.5 B.

I'm not sure the sole itself is actually "altered" - it looks like something was on the sole, but that got removed. I think right now what you've got is the basic shoe itself - which is a great shoe (I have one for myself as well).

I also think it is actually a double sole and that what appears to be the third layer is actually a thick welt - but I could be wrong.

You are correct. They are not altered. I have sold a few pair that have the triple v-cleat. Probably 10 years of wear in 1 set of heels. I also think you may break your tail bone at least 6 times.

I agree....at first glance they look altered, but upon closer inspection it looks like the midsole area was sanded down. Strange.

I slip on a daily basis with my single v-cleats. These are just crazy. With that said, If I was a B width, I'd buy them!

These are probably authentic Hermes horsehead cufflinks although not real gold -- only a very erudite counterfeiter would engrave "Bijouterie Fantaisie" ("Costume Jewelry") on cufflinks like this; "Bijouterie Fantaisie" is exactly what Hermes calls it:
