Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 965

I have purchased several pair of shoes from this seller. They were well represented and pictured and I found no issues with the in-sink cleanup in the actual shoes.

Well, I ended up with that Whitehouse Cox brown/black wallet http://bit.ly/3WEVGL; thanks, @RJMan! Someone bid up the light brown one http://bit.ly/1lVAkO to 36.50 GBP before I could do so in turn, yet I won the black/brown for only 2.55 GBP? This left me worried so I examined the photo more closely, and the normal branded heat stamp is solely a big, askew "W." Yikes! Maybe I won a discarded/seconds wallet?

Bottom line: Oh well, cheap! Right?

Those are nice but not good if you don't wear a jacket everyday because they're too long for pants pockets.

Are these Alden's shell cordovan? Tough call IMO, although I am leaning towards "no".

That is not the worst of it. The liquid shoe polish they use ruined a pair of shells I bought. Left a gooey mess too.

Yeah. Pape is like the slightly less rich man's Arnys, and their shoes are Berluti-esque. Big African clientele as the owner/tailor is African as well, but the clothes are pretty classic. NB: Never owned them or inspected the shoes very closely. There is a website of sorts for them if you google Pape avenue Rapp.

I don't think so. Look at the lack of puckering around the stitching.

And a superfluous third! I have already made a purchase from his well-edited list.
