So I don't think the shoes on eBay are Grensons.

That only works if they have been using the same color code for a long time. The shoes on eBay are clearly very old.

I think we have the forum equivalent of the $500 Denon digital cable.

No wonder they limit these things to 10 items. Fugly! And what's with that logo printed all over? 5x on the front, 8x on back an probably 15x on the inside. Everybody who wears this should be given 2500$ by Bijan!

New BB patent pumps. Size 10.5D. Bidding starts at $.99. (Described as "Fancy Dress Shoes" -- I suppose that's a fair description -- but not too fancy for me!)

These I'm fairly certain are EG. I'm not a big fan of this seller and it looks like somebody botched a dye job on them. Cheap though.

Can a "botched dye job" be undone?

Depends. You could darken them down, if worse came to worst. But the lighter the color you're after, the more risk there is, I'd guess. And there are risks even with going dark. Sometimes lighter areas still show through. I'd be concerned about giving the shoes another bath in stripper. Seems like it can't be good for the leather.

Those "shoe cleaning" pictures in all her auctions have kept me from buying any of her shoes.

Me too. I won't buy any shoes from someone who cleans them in their sink.
