Nice. They may be C&J. I have a pair of C&J for Paul Smith boots (confirmed w/ C&J). I would have to see the sizing writing, but the nail pattern is consistent w/ C&J.

I didn't know AE made any shoes in cigar shell

Is is possible those are 'dark cognac' shell cordovan? My cigar shoes are browner. This looks coser to the color C&J uses for RL.

Probably burgundy shell that has been lightened and polished with brown polish. I think Burgundy Shell Cordo graysons are still available, so I would ask for the 4-digit item number and check and see if they match the item number of the stock burgundy graysons.

On the other hand, AE does sell brown shell cordovan cream/polish, so maybe they do have brown shells available.

I'm pretty sure that its burgundy. AE doesn't darken the burgundy shell from Horween as much as Alden does. I have a pair of Bradleys in burgundy shell that pretty much look brown. Who cares what color it is supposed to be? Doesn't it matter what it looks like?
