Yeah you might have to dig up the thread on how to strip these down and dull the shine.

For those of you with long, narrow feet. Beautiful shoes. http://cgi.ebay.com/Florsheim-Imperial-Burgundy-Shell-Cordovan-Wingtip-New_W0QQitemZ300327081587QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVintage_Shoes?hash=item45ece39673&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A10|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

Shellac aside, these are actually a well made shoe. Someone sold me a matte black pebble grain pair on SF last year mistakingly claiming they were Keith Highlanders; presumably because they have a Scotsman over a Cannon in their logo.

Solid goodyear welted shoe with leather sole, leather linings and a Vibram heel. Alas the insole is only leather covered.

NOS Sam Browne Brown Shell Cordovan Belt. I own one of these and have toyed with the idea of converting it to a belt suitable for wear with jeans and slacks. Nice leather and cut from a single Shell.

If someone wants to give these a go here is my adventure in removing the topcoat. All in all it wasn't a big deal.

They've been as low as $150 from GVH at times, so they may drop again.

I always thought EG made these. Just noticed they are made in Italy though. Anybody know by who?

I sold a black pair of these on ebay a month ago. Workmanship was better than my similar calf Alden 901 bals.
