Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 10

Was outbid on the Grenson double monks. I'm not going over $200 when Bennies' shipment is right around the corner.

Interesting C&J Norwegian-toe in 10E UK.

Must be older model, but appears brand new. Note the mixture of regular-grade and Handgrade features--in particular the channeled sole and handwritten size, etc., information inside. Seller portrays as regular-grade (in the retail price noted), and probably is officially (note gold-stamped C&J logo inside), but is clearly nicer than most regular-grades. Not my size. I'd see any price up to about 175 GBP as representing a good buy.

New pair of Vass Budapesters in black, size 43, not sure but I think that's a 10.

Those double monks are nice!

Ralph Lauren made in England, suede. Zero bids with less than 24 hours left.

Ah, that's great. I'd never thought about white double-monks before, but now it makes perfect sense.

Not a tremendous deal or anything, but Ralph Lauren is now selling a Polo cap-toe spectator in white buck and brown calf, made by their mysterious Italian factory:

(RLPL previously offered something similar in an EG-made Cardiff spectator, IIRC.)

Both of those auctions seemed to go very cheap for new shoes of that reputation. Is that normal for these kinds of shoes on eBay?

The brown slip-on is by EG for RLPL. The black oxofrd is by C&J for RLPL. C&J produced shoes for RLPL prior to EG.
