At least you're not a 9.5 too.

I believe you are actually the one who turned me on to Corneliani on AAAC when I first joined a few months ago A 38S in Corneliani is actually almost a perfect fit for me with no alterations really needed to the jacket Although if there is a nice 38R I will not hesitate to take a stab at it. In all seriousness, thanks. Corneliani are great!

Bought 3 Corneliani in the past six months thanks to your guidance. And I'm a 38S/R too.

What is it with all the 38Rs???

Doc, you need to admit the truth about how Corneliani is really garbage and highly overrated and you just pumped them up so that we would stay clear of all the Mantoni suits in 38R

Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's a bad photo, but to my eye those are fairly clunky and - forgive the pun - pedestrian looking. The rug's nothing to get excited about either.

You are being generous both the shoes and the rug are butt ugly. The soles are rubber and it looks like pebble grain leather on a really wide last.

Typical clunky budapester style Vass. Nothing like the sleeker U-last styles. Not sure about sizing.

Vass generally uses Euro sizing, even on a pair I saw last year from Louis Boston, so I don't know where the seller gets the size 11. To my eye, they're too creased to have been worn only once.

Doc Holliday, at least I'm not competing with you for Corneliani. I'm still looking for the elusive Corneliani in 38L.

3rd time around for these nice JM Westons. Started at $400+ and now down to $299.

I'll be surprised if he gets even that for them. They're rather ordinary, and the shape doesn't seem very elegant. Not a stitch on the Grenson Masterpieces from Bennies, in terms of design, and those cost $50 less.

How do Westons do on eBay in general? Is there much name recognition?

I sold the same pair brand new in brown for about $225 on ebay to a guy in Japan. The thing about Westons is that they look plain until you put them on your feet. Hard to explain but they take on a different life once you have them on. Also, they age incredibly well.

I am not sure what the quality comparison to Grenson is but they are nice, if ordinary, shoes. I agree that $299 is a still high but you never know... few people know about or have access to Bennies.

This seller (Ann) usually follows the same strategy of starting out with high prices and relisting at progressively lower prices if no one bites. She's a fine seller with quality goods, if a little slow w/email at times, but the fact that she doesn't take paypal is definitely a drawback.
