And $20 shipping? He wants to about double his money in 2 yrs? Even my Madoff investments haven't done that well!

Those are rare and brand new, and it makes me wonder that people are holding on to these shoes as others hold on to rolexes or gold or some other stuff as an investment

Going by the 120 years line and the sole, I think it is Loake, since they were found in 1880 (now 129 years) and use similar soles for there 1880 line. The timing also suggests that it could also be Barker, but it looks more like Loake.

Grenson was found in 1866, Tricker's in 1829, C&J in 1879, Sargent in 1899, and both Loake and Barker in 1880. Sanders was found in 1873.

I'm not sure to when Edward Green or John Lobb date their foundings.

Alfred Sargent founded 1899, Barker 1880, Loake 1880, C&J 1879, Sanders 1873, Church's 1873, Grenson 1866, Tricker's 1829 ... edit: NoVaguy, you are quicker with the google. I was thinking Loake too since it seems they make for everyone. double edit: Loake Durhams? Medallion looks the same.

Good eye - it does look like the Loake Dunham pattern. It is possible that this Jackson company has specified the pattern but with different materials, such as the 1880 line sole and a different leather and different materials for the guts of the shoe.

The shoes under his own T.Jackson label are made by Loake and Sanders.
I know that from the seller himself.
