Italian I guess... Von Rothbart, who owns a couple pairs says to take your US size and add one. So those 9s are really a 10US, and the 10 is really an 11US. Canali is the same way. It's really annoying that we can't agree on a universal convention for shoe sizes. Would it really be that hard?

And yes choco, those shoes are in fact made by Kiton.

It's UK sizing then. My question is, I examined pictures of Kiton and JL prestige line shoes carefully and I came to conculsion that their outsoles are not as bevelled as bespoke shoes. Do you guys agree or?

Okay, they're not shoes you see every day.

Someone should find out if they are Green or Crockett.

Please don't jump all over me if I'm wrong (unless you're Charlize Theron, in which case I have to wonder why you're reading a men's style forum), but I think both of these Ralph Lauren auctions are actually EG's:

Can anybody comment?

The second pair are definitely not Greens. Harder to tell about the first pair since there are so few pictures.

Then I stand corrected. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell EG RLs from CJ RLs, and if there are any other "Made in England" RL shoes.

Like Carlo's shoes, however, they do have a series of stamped numbers. A. Harris jumped in with the opinion that the shoes were part of some bespoke program run by BB. Who knows? But they certainly are odd shoes. The numbers aren't embossed in the way you see on, say, C&J. Rather, they look like they were applied via a rubber stamp and an inkpad. There's also a similar stamping of the Peal logo near the instep. The nail pattern on the heel conforms to the EG custom, but not much else about the shoes gives any indication of who might have made them (and nail patterns are probably slightly less than proprietary).
It seems most ebay shoe sellers don't understand that the obsessives want to see everything--all the numbers, the sole, the heel, etc.

I don't think either of them are EGs. That 'purple label' doesn't really look PL.
