Cool Shoes, Paraphernalia & Desiderata - Page 826

New EG for Asprey monks in 9/9.5 for $479.95 BIN. And a similar pair in acorn in 12/12.5. Seller has several interesting pairs in various sizes, including this Lattanzi shell blucher. I'm shocked his suede EG slipons are still available. The economy must really be in the tank. Also, Wal-Mart has lightsabers for $50. Much more affordable than Luke's. And, unlike his, they even light up and hum.

FROM SKY NEWS -

"Actor Mark Hamill used the lightsabre, which was made from an old photography flashgun, in both the original Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.

The weapon, sold by Star Wars producer Gary Kurtz, fetched $200,000 at the sale by Hollywood auction house Profiles in History.

An original section of the Death Star from the first 1977 movie fetched $20,000.

C-3PO's helmet and robotic hands worn by British actor Anthony Daniels in the 1983 hit Star Wars: Return of the Jedi sold for $100,000 and $30,000 respectively.

An original set of the three Lord of the Rings books, all first editions printed in 1954 and signed by JRR Tolkien sold for $90,000. Bound in original red cloth, each volume included a fold out map of Middle Earth at the back and used to belong to a student of Tolkien's.

The first British edition of Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice in which Fleming wrote: "To the real James Bond from the thief of his identity" fetched $70,000. The book was given as a present to American Ornithologist James Bond, who died shortly after he met Fleming in 1964. And the second draft original handwritten manuscript of You Only Live Twice, signed by Roald Dahl, fetched $80,000.

The full-sized animatronic "Joe" from Mighty Joe Young fetched $80,000.

Elsewhere in the sale, a flying saucer from the 1956 classic sci-fi hit Forbidden Planet, which starred comedy actor Leslie Nielsen, fetched $65,000 - almost half its high estimate of $120,000."

I have the Anakin/Luke version of the ForceFX saber myself. Cheaper than the original prop, and yes, probably a lot more fun.

They're real Greens, just misspelled in the title. Well used, though.

I couldn't agree more, those are much nicer than the aldens. Of course, the true connoisseur would buy both...

Don't you have an Isaia suit to buy somewhere?

Keep your eyes open. I may just get them.

These seem like a good deal for EG made shoes in the elusive antique band-aid color. Anyone here wear a 12-12.5 on the 202 last? Seller also has them in a 9/9.5

These also seem like a deal for a 9.5 US

Great looking shoe. I used to have two pairs of these, but I don't really like lace up dress boots that go up that high (or higher) feelaround my ankles, so I sold them.
