Just saw that - so much for the $101 snipe. This confirms my belief that low starting bids often lead to higher final price than auctions with high opening bids.

I'm the one that had mentioned a $101 snipe. I didn't do it after chobochobo told me he was bidding much higher.

I never thought I would win, but I think it's a good strategy to set up a relatively low snipe bid on an Ebay item that I like, and then forget about it. It's a good way to take any emotion out of the bid. And occasionally, I'll win an Ebay auction for a much lower price that I thought possible.

I know this is old, but I bought this. It's legit. Soavi designed for Olivetti in the 80's according to the MOMA design encyclopedia and Valextra did quite a bit of contracting at that time (e.g., leather goods for Armani, of which I have a portfolio). This case's construction, especially the handle and lock, are exactly the same as Valextra's regular models.

Anyone know what's up with these? They are my size but I've never seen Antelope leather shoes and the pic is not so clear.

I've never seen them in shoes either. Certainly not in Grensons. But, I have seen them in Cowboy Boots(I'm in Houston, Tx.) by Lucchese, Tony LLama, Justin, etc. They look pretty good and I'm told they are comfortable. But except for the starting price on the Ebay auction, I see nothing attractive about them, as dress shoes!

I have a pair of Barker shoes in antelope. Similar to deer but a coarser texture. Much more durable than deer in my opinion.

The Henry Maxwell golf shoes (new) are back on ebay. So are a whole bunch of Maxwell bespoke riding boots.

This is a relist that is $50 less than last week.

I would own these if they were a US size 9.

Unfortunately all my research says they are a UK size 9 and one that is a bit large for that. So maybe they fit a US 10 or 10.5.

They would probably fit me perfect but I can't bring myself to pay $900 for ebay shoes. I'd have to sell three of my shoes or so to feel comfortable buying those and I just can't do that

Than they would get more expensive. Me too.

I do love the shoes. I love the wholecut/brogue design and the beautiful chocalate brown.

Most amazing that the seller has a pretty good feedback record considering most of his shoes have been listed at the wrong size....i.e., saying the sizing is US when it is UK. I presume the Borrelli's he has been selling are also marked in the UK size.

whilst there's no way that I'm spending that much on a pair of shoes (yet) are these Kiton by Kiton or by someone else?
