Looks perfectly fine to me. No hidden risk as far as I can see it.

shittt! $180 with 2 hours and 45 minutes to go!

i had been watching this auction since before you posted it, but even still....

this is one of those AE's I would love to get - and it looks like it's made on the #4 last, which is my favorite.

I know for certain that both those pairs have had snipes set on them from the day they were listed.

I didn't see that coming either. $270 for pre-owned shoes, guess they're indeed very rare.

Any of you xperts have opinions?

I really need some browns in my collection

I'm of the opinion they are uk12, not us 12 as listed.

From the vintage section, which may or may not mean less competition from the shoe-buyers. Also, has Stacy Adams or Thom McCann ever been good brands? I don't think so, but it'd be nice to know.

Church's custom-grade derbies:

From what I know, stacy adams was once respectable.

Stacy Adams was, back in the day.

After a quick wikipedia, they were started in 1875. Unexpected.

Thanks - it hit my snipe max, which I guess I set at the economically correct price, because I feel exactly indifferent to winning them! $1 less and they would have been a steal, and $1 more I would have had buyer's remorse Actually, I'm psyched about the chocolate brown color because I don't have any shoes that color edit: and hopefully they'll be a US12, but it did cross my mind that they might be UK12 and I was too lazy to clarify with the seller.
The seller didn't know if they were UK or US sizing.

Both companies put out high quality shoes in the past. Neither does today.
