That does look like a smokin' deal. I have a pair of those. I will say it is not the sleekest last. But still a nice versatile shoe.

I know in the back of my head I shouldn't be passing on these - what with them being my size and all. But I've got the RL Marlow as my plaintoe cordo blucher, so I'm thinking of my wife's face when the next shoe box shows up on the porch and I'm passing.

You can still see the "Shell Cordovan" logo on the sole and the insole looks clean. The branding indicates that they're a few years old, but man they look like a good deal to me at BIN - with free shipping no less

And I'd own these if they were brown

Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. I've got the RL Darlton wingtip, the RL Marlow blucher - which are both brown - and a pair of old Florsheim v-cleat longwings in burgandy shell. While I hate to pass up a good deal, cause I know that I'd have them forever, there's other holes I need to fill in the rotation before I add another pair of shell gunboats.

Not really on sale, but I like the looks of these Campaniles at Yoox:

http://www.yoox.com/item/YOOX/CAMPAN...339_48_7_2P_70

I took advantage of the free shipping to order a pair that are almost certainly too small. Might be too pointy in real life, but at least I'll get to see what I'm missing out on.

Those aren't too pointy - they're too square. I judge them to be about 14% too much so.

You've brought a heretofore unknown mathematical precision to the SF shoe obsession.

You really think they're too square? Have you seen them in person? I always find these things hard to judge from pics.

In the light of morning, I have to admit I don't really know to such a precise degree. They look a bit square in the pictures, but my impressions last night were limbered by some Scotch and a long work day and giddiness over a great Dodgers win.
