New Purple Label messenger bag, canvas with leather trim. $295 BIN. Handsome, if you've always wanted Ghurka:

Same seller has numerous Purple Label shoes and small leather goods. But I've never bought from him.

Certainly not my intention, I have always valued this board for the info and experience and I only put up select items that I would think gentlemen of your statue would be most interested in. I wanted to give the members here first dibs on these two pair of shoes before I list them to ebay, which I will do this evening.

Anyways, I picked up a pair of English Brooks Brothers yesterday that I hope you guys will be able to help me identify, pictures shortly

I just bought the one from STP a few days ago. I was torn on which leather to get - I went with the pebble grain. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. And I'm loving that epic RJMan ebay-clearinghouse post.

I was in the same exact dilemma, now I'm also waiting for the pebbled version in the mail .

fixed. Do you get any of your shoes from eBay or do they come primarily from thrift shops? Do you also source from consignment shops and garage sales and the like? Just curious.

I like the idea of the oiled leather, but didn't like the look of the contrast stitching. I have a feeling the oiled leather will age better though.

Mostly from small local shoe stores that have customer returns, some from estates/thrifts/consignments, some from ebay, I once picked up 30 pairs of alden driving loafers from someone who had them listed in ebay motors(go figure), 15.00 a pair

BTW, I think the pebble is the way to go with these, I'm not sure the oiled leather/contrast stitch meshes with this design.
