FYI .... these were offered to me for $90. They have been relisted for about 3-4 months. Make an offer if you are interested.

Wow, can't believe the price these sold for Hope this isn't going to be a trend for future NOS Florsheim auctions.

^^ I do not think that was excessive for NOS Kenmoors with the box. If they were my size or if some Japanese&Germans saw that auction they could have sold for considerably more.

I agree it was not an excessive price, just surprised. I just don't recall previous NOS Florsheims going consistently that high...Great shoes in any case.

Yeah I know what you mean. They are great shoes and sometimes a bargain can be had. I think some plain toe cordovans went for $340 recently.

One trend I have noticed is that B and C width are seen much more frequently than D width and that D widths command a premium.

I think these are listed under the wrong size ... Size 10D Alden shells, a special order from Alden of Carmel, with a BIN of $400. Is that 20 percent/25 percent Live discount still available? If so ...

it could be poor photography, but that first picture makes them look a lot like bowling shoes...

i've been noticing deadstock longwings going for high prices lately. Nettletons and Florsheims.

$250 is certainly worth it for that shoe. Though, it would be a shame to wear them.

The British middle and upper classes seemed especially fond of bizarre animal parts made into jewelry. It reached its apex in the Victorian period. They were truly a rather morbid society.

Those are brand new vintage Cleverley bespoke from before he went to N&L. I am not at all surprised they went that high, I would have asked at least that much, probably more like $2000.
