I can't take my eyes off it. I think it's going to attack me.

Where does one wear this? To hold up some sort of Highland dress cloak?

Otter paw brooches. /shakes head.

LOL!!! I think it's destined for LabelKing: (Asprey + Taxidermy) x (Vintage ) x (Weird animal)

Can you imagine being the person who ordered that at Aspreys? Um, hello, yes, I brought my own otter...

Surprised it's not being sold as a "cursed item"... it grants three wishes, but...

I wonder if anyone ever had a cats paw brooch...

They are bespoke, pretty sure, but you're right, that's a crazy price. Prices really are getting inflated on teh ebays.

but $70 is indeed a bargain price.

I respect your opinions, DocHolliday, but I've had a different experience with a pair of Italian-made RL chelsea boots. I bought a pair in suede during the RL sale last Fall and they're holding up well. They look good, fit well, and the suede is surprisingly durable. So I think my chelseas represent decent value for the price (sale price, with a stacked coupon).

I can understand Doc's frustrations, but I'd suggest that it is the responsibility of GVH to disclose any imperfections in the boots they sell on ebay (Doc's second pair of RL chelseas).

I wonder if the fact that your model is in suede makes a big difference. I know people have complained about other brands calf offerings but not their suede offerings (two low to mid tier brands that immediately come to mind are Charles Tyrwhitt and Loake).

On the plus side, I have added to my store of useless information by reading that auction and learning that the Linnean name from the otter is Lutra lutra. So it hasn't been a total washout.

Ridiculous price, esp. consider lack of detailed photos, but clearly a very lucky seller!

Why would you pay over the odds for someone else's bespoke shoes? They're only bespoke for the bespeaker. For anyone else, they're just (likely) ill-fitting shoes.
