Not trying to dissuade you, but at 4.25", those are wider than any of the other masterpiece lasts I've seen in that size.

If this is the Felstead model, and it certainly looks like it is, my Grenson catalogue says it's made on the 92 last, the same last used for the Stowe. I find my Stowe to be somewhat generously sized, but if you have a Stowe, the fit of a Felstead would be similar.

Dan, it's 7F - wide.
Did I buy the Stowes from you? They were 7F, fit me perfectly.

Yep, sounds like they'll work, then.

Cool - thanks, by the way. I haven't had a chance to wear them yet, but I think this weekend I will.

I am not a fan of this new C&J last...

I am, but it's not shown at its best on those specs.

Isn't this the one that Dimitri Gomez designed?

I've seen the 348 in person and prefer it to the 337.

This C&J 348 last strikes me as pretty similar in concept to the C&J 337 last, designed by Dimitri Gomez, and I find it really sleek and appealing (I'd be interested in knowing whether it too was designed by Dimitri Gomez). It appears to be the C&J regular-grade equivalent of the Handgrade 337 last. There are a bunch of new regular-grade C&Js on this last appearing all of a sudden--the Alex, Drummond, Hallam, Croydon, Merton, and Tetbury boot, as well as the spectator shown above, the Guildford. There's also a new C&J 350 last. I've seen it on one shoe (the Handgrade Balmuir) on the C&J French website, and, in my opinion, it's a winner too.
