Has this been mentioned? SkyValet has Carmina at half off:

Sizes are limited. But there's a monk, blucher and two loafers available. No returns or exchanges.

Nice, shame that I already have the monkstrap - it's one of favourite shoes. Are these cordovan or calf?

Quoting the Skyvalet website: "Note: Carmina uses a unique ranged sizing system". Can anyone explain the system that Carmina uses?

The Carmina's I bought in Paris fit me perfectly. I'm a 7.5D in RL and AE. My Carmina box is labeled 6M and the inside of the shoe is labeled 6.5.

"Brown air brushing"?

You missed out the best bit "MY PHOTOS DO NOT DO THEM JUSTICE"

Clearly.

There are none.

I just called the store and the salesmen was very helpful. I told him my size in Alden's and he found the comparable Carmina size. I am a 10.5E in Alden- and he said the 10-10.5 was a comparable size, so it seems they run a half to a whole size smaller. I'd just call the guy at the store though b/c he was really nice and eager to help.
I picked up a pair of the tassel loafer. $288 for some beautiful cordovan shoes is a great deal!

what's you take on the sizing compared to your normal?

And what's this? Some "cheap" EG for a 12D? Gotta be a forum member.

And some RL made in England suede double monks in 10.5. I'm assuming C&J, but the nails on the perimeter of the heel look more plentiful than the ones on my RL C&J shoes.

I'd say that fairly true to size. I have a pair that is half a size down from my usual and it fits very snugly.

It's not like I posted the picture with a reference to the auction.
